The Hidden Obstacle

The Hidden Obstacle in Your Spiritual Awakening That Nobody Talks About – Helen Hamilton

Disclaimer: All words as concessions! 🌸

The provided transcript explores the paradox of spiritual awakening, highlighting that the greatest obstacle is the persistent belief that one is an individual doer who must actively achieve freedom. The speaker explains that true liberation comes from realizing that the infinite self is already free and was never actually trapped by the mind’s illusions. We often suffer not because we are unawakened, but because we mistakenly believe there is a personal entity responsible for managing thoughts, making decisions, or perfecting spiritual practices. To overcome this, the source suggests a constant remembrance that one is merely the silent observer of a movie-like journey where everything happens spontaneously. By admitting we have no control and cannot “fix” our awakening, the habitual effort to escape illusion finally ceases, revealing an inherent state of peace and presence.

A playful experiment

The following is a playful experiment to map contemporary nonduality pointers with scripture (starting with Mr Jesus).

It is not so much about thinking,
but listening, wondering…
giving space to “I don’t know”.

Your feedback is very much appreciated! Holger@RiverOfInternet.com

Mr-Jesus:

“I am with you always.”

“It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.

Mr-Jesus:

“So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.”

“…know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Knowing, not as mental effort or cleverness, not the accumulation of information, but k-now-ing as the empty openness of “Speak, for your servant is listening!”

Truth is that which never changes; what never changes is being aware that I am. Not the content of experience, but aware of observed and observer.

“Be still, and know that I am God;”

‘God’ not as ‘another’, but before thoughts arise; closer than breathing, nearer than hands and feet.

Mr-Jesus:

“Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”

“Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?”

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes…”

24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!

25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?

26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

27 Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith!

29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it.

30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them.

31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.

34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

“… in Me you have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”

“…. before Abraham was born, I am!”

Abraham = the father of the multitudes = the objective world.
I am = Awareness / Consciousness / Spirit, the ground of being.

“For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’”

“Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.”

“… that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”

Mind-Stuff

“…true liberation comes from realizing that the infinite self is already free and was never actually trapped by the mind’s illusions.”
